Spring inspiration

hello and welcome back!

Since spring has started I have constantly been thinking about how to improve my style. To try new outfits and pieces of clothing I usually shy away from. I’ve had some extra money to spend, and I can’t wait to buy some pieces to add to my wardrobe.

Below are pictures that have given me a variety of ideas, for when I wanna dress casual or more put together.

Especially the heels and socks combination, I might try that sometime.

As well as getting ready to wear crop tops, no matter what my size is. Even if I don’t have the flat stomach Instagram models and influencers have, I am learning to love my body and embrace it.

2018 in pictures

Today is the last day of 2018. This year has been such an important one in my life. I realized that my plans were going to be achieved later than expected, allowing me to truly think about my next steps.

This is my fourth year in college, and I am no where near graduating. Accepting that fact has been hard, but I know that taking more one is not a bad thing. It took me a while to pass classes like math and science, but I did it!

And after years of secretly wanting to learn how to drive, but always being scared to attempt any action towards it, I got my license, and yesterday was 2 months of having it. These 2 months have been fun, and have challenged me to think clearly to make sure I am being as safe as possible.

This year, I took a break from my blog. I’ve been thinking about what this blog means to me, and sometimes it feels like time to say goodbye. Not to delete it, but to keep it as a memory when I need inspiration, or to look back to remind myself of what I can accomplish.

Lately I’ve been interested in making YouTube videos, and have been taking videos when I go shopping with friends. Maybe 2019 will become the year I attempt to be a youtuber..

The following pictures are ones I took throughout the year but never blogged about. Some were from months ago, others as recently as this week, the one with the fanny pack being from Christmas Day.

Let me know what outfits you like, as well as what you accomplished in 2018.

See you in 2019.

Twenty Øne Piløts concert

It finally happened!

After years of listening to the band Twenty One Piløts I finally made it to one of their live concerts!

I wanted to make sure I got tickets so I register through Ticketmaster and was able to buy tickets before the general sale.

I got some good seats, making sure I avoided the floor since I didn’t want to stand all night surrounded by way too many people and not being able to really move.

I bought the tickets and found friends to go with. After waiting for so long, the day finally arrived. I was so excited I could barely sleep or sit through my biology class.

Whenever I go to concerts I get zero pictures, and I wanted this to be an exception. The first pictures are the outfit I had originally planned to wear, but the pants were too baggy so I put on black jeans instead.

After my best friend Brenda and I took forever doing our makeup, my coworker Todd came to pick us up and head to Portland. I was surprised at the amount of people going to the concert, but was excited to finally hear the music I had been replaying on spotify for months.

When we go to the venue after waiting in line for about 20 minutes, we went into the Moda Center. The opening acts seemed to last hours, especially since I wasn’t too familiar with their music.

The lights went out, and I saw a torch at the stage. There they were, Tyler and Josh! I was in disbelief, trying to comprehend that they were in the same room. The music started, and it is safe to say, I had the best concert experience thus far.

Everything about the concert was amazing, especially the graphics, colors and use of props to relate to their songs. If you ever have the chance to see Twenty One Pilots, take it! Even if you dont know a lot of their music, you’ll still enjoy the energy they exude.

Thank you for reading my rant about the concert. Have a great day

Its beanie season

Hello everyone! It has been some time since I uploaded a blog post. Winter term was a crazy three months, but I am back with another outfit post.

I was shopping with my friend, and whenever we go to the mall I always shop at Zumiez. I ended up buying this adidas beanie as well as two different shirts. I was excited to make those purchases since I always try clothes on but never end up buying the clothes I tried on.

Being the blogger that I am, my friend took pictures of me after buying the items from Zumiez. I was excited to see how it would look, especially since I dont usually wear slouchy beanies.

This shopping trip was a break from my usual routine, which was going to class and working at the end of the week. Lately I’ve been making sure to give myself time to relax and hangout with friends.

My classes were overwhelming at times, but I was able to get through them. I wrote multiple papers and had speeches to give, which really pushed me to get as many points as I could since those aren’t my strongest qualities about being a student.

I ended up getting a passing grade in my biology class after retaking it this term, which is all I could ask for.

Thank you for reading this post, see you on the next one.

Light shine through

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday! These last few weeks have been filled with exams, quizzes and papers. I am over half way done with this term and everything Is coming to fruition in rather quickly. I’ve been spending most of my days sitting in my room trying to study for all my classes, and ultimately picking one over the other which I have tried to get better at.

This post is something I just wanted to share when I was bored laying in bed probably just going through my phone instead of studying.

My window is a rather big in my room and the light comes through the curtain we got. I moved some things off my sisters white desk. I used my self timer to take these pictures because I wanted to have mini photo shoot in a room with the desk in with the chair we had bought.

I took some pictures of me in this dress I bought from forever 21 wearing make up I had done five minutes before to take these pictures. I love how makeup looks in the sun light, especially highlighter.

Let me know what you think of this outfit and what if you’ve done any impromptu photo shoots you’ve ended up really enjoying.

Sweet

I celebrated my friend’s 21st birthday with her last month. We were all so busy so this was the only time we could do it even thought her birthday was in January. We went to her favorite restaurant which is a really good pizzeria right next to target.

The moment my friend saw me she complimented me on my outfit, which I really appreciated. I usually never wear just tank tops but this cropped sweater felt really warm and looked even better with the black tank top. I finished it off with my go to black jeans and the vans my mom bought me and are a size to big. I went for a simple makeup look, wanting to just keep both my outfit and makeup casual.

My friend and I hung out after the dinner and of course we ended up at target. I was really excited to hangout with al my friends since school and work has kept us all extremely busy. She and I aimlessly walked around target trying to find some things for her to buy for her nephew, and I ended up in one of my favorite aisles: the ice cream one. This is nothing new, since we would often go on snack runs at random hours of the night when we lived in the same hall.

Some things just never change, and I’m happy I have someone to walk around Target at random hours.

Bye

One of my best friends, left to California. She’s gonna be working at Disney land for 8 months & I’m extremely excited for her! These are some pictures we took when we tried on outfits we picked out for each other!

I am so happy I met her and am still close to her despite moving for a little bit. She’s always been an amazing friend and I am so happy she is branching out and trying something that seems rather scary. Whatever happens, I am here for her.
