Today is the last day of 2018. This year has been such an important one in my life. I realized that my plans were going to be achieved later than expected, allowing me to truly think about my next steps.
This is my fourth year in college, and I am no where near graduating. Accepting that fact has been hard, but I know that taking more one is not a bad thing. It took me a while to pass classes like math and science, but I did it!
And after years of secretly wanting to learn how to drive, but always being scared to attempt any action towards it, I got my license, and yesterday was 2 months of having it. These 2 months have been fun, and have challenged me to think clearly to make sure I am being as safe as possible.
This year, I took a break from my blog. I’ve been thinking about what this blog means to me, and sometimes it feels like time to say goodbye. Not to delete it, but to keep it as a memory when I need inspiration, or to look back to remind myself of what I can accomplish.
Lately I’ve been interested in making YouTube videos, and have been taking videos when I go shopping with friends. Maybe 2019 will become the year I attempt to be a youtuber..
The following pictures are ones I took throughout the year but never blogged about. Some were from months ago, others as recently as this week, the one with the fanny pack being from Christmas Day.
Let me know what outfits you like, as well as what you accomplished in 2018.
See you in 2019.
Hello everyone, thank you for reading this special post.
Since I’ve been on a bit of a break from blogging, I am here to share my birthday plans.
Turning 22 wasn’t as exciting as the way I spent celebrating the birthday before this but it was still beautiful.
My twin and I went to breakfast with friends, and were treated to such a wonderful meal.
As I get older I realize the days of family planning the day around you even in your birthday are rare.
Everyone is so busy with their lives, it seems like any other day. I don’t like having a lot of attention, but this was always something I looked forward to.
I was also able to finally wear the navy blazer I had bought at a thrift store, and finally wore the jeans I bought at free people.
However, because it was our birthday I was able to coerce my twin into taking pictures with me, and am so happy with how they turned out.
I was happy that we were able to do something, and when we got home our mom was making our favorite meal, which was really exciting.
As time goes on, I don’t wish for material things, the presence of my friends and family is more than enough.
Here’s to a great year of being 22!
I celebrated my friend’s 21st birthday with her last month. We were all so busy so this was the only time we could do it even thought her birthday was in January. We went to her favorite restaurant which is a really good pizzeria right next to target.
The moment my friend saw me she complimented me on my outfit, which I really appreciated. I usually never wear just tank tops but this cropped sweater felt really warm and looked even better with the black tank top. I finished it off with my go to black jeans and the vans my mom bought me and are a size to big. I went for a simple makeup look, wanting to just keep both my outfit and makeup casual.
My friend and I hung out after the dinner and of course we ended up at target. I was really excited to hangout with al my friends since school and work has kept us all extremely busy. She and I aimlessly walked around target trying to find some things for her to buy for her nephew, and I ended up in one of my favorite aisles: the ice cream one. This is nothing new, since we would often go on snack runs at random hours of the night when we lived in the same hall.
Some things just never change, and I’m happy I have someone to walk around Target at random hours.
